As the PLPA is a true automatic system the location of the pallet on the table is not critical (as with competitive models). This important part of an automatic cycle does not rely on timing and operator accuracy in loading the pallet on the table like competitors.

With Phoenix, the film is positively controlled during the whole cycle compared to competitive models where the film is assumed to be in certain places at certain times. This simply leaves to many variables to chance.

With Phoenix, the movements are independently activated using pneumatics.Competitive models require the forklift operator to accurately position the load just right on the table to ensure the wrapper works.

The Phoenix PLPA not only cuts (not tears) the film, but also attaches the film to the load by wiping the full web of film down to the load so it doesn't unravel compared to many competitive models that simply allow the film to hang and drag at the end of the cycle.

• The pneumatic controlled cut & wipe system automatically cuts the film and applies the film tail to the load. A tension relief roller eliminates the tension on the cut wire ensuring a longer heat-wire life. A timed impulse heat system, cold to the touch in seconds offers a safe cutting system.
• Pallet debris, operator skills, pallet location are all eliminated as variables thus guaranteeing proper automatic operation.
• Impulse cut wire is only on when cutting. This compares with competitive film cutters that are always on, creating potential for accidental burns to operators who get too close.
